Facts of life

At least two people in this world love you so much they would die for you.

At least fifteen people in this world love you in some way.

The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.

A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.

Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

You mean the world to someone.

If not for you, someone may not be living.

You are special and unique.

There is someone that you don't even know exists, who loves you.

When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.

When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.

When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, probably, sooner or later, you will get it.

Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know.

If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

Alzheimer's

This past Mothers day(well the Saturday before it), I went to Robstown, TX where my Granny Jackson, my mom and some other people live. My sister was having a Bar-B-Que for Our mom and a family friend and Granny.
Well anyways, when Chris and I got to the river, we went straight up stairs to see granny first. I knocked and knocked and no one came to the door. I checked the door and it was unlocked! I walked into the back of the house and there she was just sitting there looking outside the window. When I announced myself and Chris she just gave me a dull glassy look.
While me and Chris closed our visit with her, it broke my heart, i hated seeing her the way she was, but i knew i had no control over it.

Almost right after me and Chris got settled in down stairs with everyone, Granny called my mom to ask "Who was that that just left my house?"
Even though that Granny Jackson isn't really MY Granny, it really hurts that she didn't remember me. Granny has known my mom and her family for a very very long time, so she is technically my granny.

I really am going to miss her when she is gone. I'm already missing her...

Funny People!

I can not wait for this movie to come out!! I just saw the trailer for the first time today!

Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen Are my OMG ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE funny guys... I'm going to die if i never see this movie... I can not wait!

Random

I really don't have anything to write about today, so I guess I will tell yall about some music i am in to at the moment and some pictures :D.

My favorite songs at the moment are:
Speechless~The Veronicas
1234~ Plain White Tees
ANYTHING by Taylor Swift!!
Josh Grobin
And And some very calming music, like meditative soothing songs.

I'm going to try to listen to them this whole week, and if they work, I will let you know if I have started to calm down since I have been getting frustrated allot lately, which really isn't really how I am, hmm... if not then I don't know, maybe its just how I am going to be from here on out... just need some time. I'm going to listen to all of these songs and also work on my 3 baby blankets that i am making for my sister, cousin, and my future brother and sister-in-law, all 3 girls... but anyways, crocheting has some what been like therapy for me... I've been doing it since I was 12, and i have never finished anything ever... so that's my goal for the next few weeks, finish 3 blankets, listen to calming music and meditate, and calm down/take it slow
I ABSOLUTELY love Photography. Not only being behind the camera, but in front of it most of the time. I use my standard Sony Cybershot digital camera for everything, I even recently applied for JC Penny's Photography at our mall in Corpus... I even want some really old school cameras, and also to have my very own dark room... some day I will, some day.
Love Andrea
PS: the first 2 pictures..self portrait...photoshoped by me, and then the third one was on Christmas day at my Future Grandparent-in-law's Farm in Robstown, TX,I absolutely love this picture, and their farm!

wedding date

I haven't really put much thought as into when and where Chris and I want to get married. So on the way back to school last night I finally asked Chris when he wants to get married. I was expecting the usual "I don't know..." with the shrugging of the shoulders, but to my surprise he pulled out his phone to look at his calendar and started giving me some ideas... has he been thinking about this with out me? I was shocked...I didn't think he was this into these kind of details.

We can either get married in 2010 or 2011...or even longer...which I don't want to do, but it was advised that we wait at least 2 years before we tie the knot. With all that said we agreed on a date!
With that hurtle out of the way, all we need to do know is worry about our finances and saving money not only for the wedding but also the honeymoon if we are going to take one...
So the date, drum roll please!
March 18, 2011. a spring wedding :D hopefully here in South Texas it will be nice, and not all humid.
now really I need to start and actually stick to a diet, lose some much unwanted baggage, that way I will look Gorgeous on my day, I have plenty of time.
Love,
Andrea

Okay, so in my blogs namesake, Norma Jean Baker. To me Marilyn Monroe is like my muse in my art, my crafting, and my life. No my daily blogging isn't going to be all about NJB, just about my life, my adventures in pursuing my "American Dream", wedding planning, homemaking, crafting, and so much more things that I would want to share. Maybe I will post recipies, progress of projects, and other tricks i have in my "Mary Poppins Bag" (thanks Cristin :D)*Wink*
